About the event
Antonín Dvořák wrote his most beloved string quartet on American soil — and filled it with longing for the Bohemia he'd left behind. Bedřich Smetana never left home, yet his music carries the same ache of a world slipping away. Together, they form one of chamber music's most quietly devastating conversations across time and distance.
The HIP Quartet brings both voices to life in an intimate gallery setting, applying the historically informed care and interpretive precision that defines their approach to every program. A pre-concert talk at 6:00 PM opens the evening, offering context for the music and the worlds behind it. The concert follows at 7:00 PM, with a cash bar available throughout.
Space is limited to 35 tickets. This is one worth reserving early.
